Thank you for the perfect beginning and end to a special trip.  You have spoiled us for all other Bed and Breakfasts.  We can't wait for another opportunity to plan a trip so that we may come back to your exotic Safari House.  You have a fantastic establishment that we are excited to recommend to everyone we know. Best of luck in the New Year and Thanks again!
Chris and Leena S., Victoria, BC, Canada

Our last minute decision to stay on "LuLu Island"  turned into an opportunity to meet some fabulous people. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of running a B&B.
Neil & Gail T., Colliver House B&B, Qualicum Beach, BC, Canada

Our first experience with a B&B.  It was a wonderful experience and  we will be back. Breakfast was great, we 'll definitely tell our friends.
See you again , Marion & Al, Kyuquot, BC, Canada

"Thanks" Brian & Linda for creating The Stone Hedge!  We came for an anniversary get away,  our first B&B experience and we are absolutely pleased with the quiet oasis that The Stone Hedge has provided.  The decorating and hospitality has created a wonderful atmosphere truly beyond our expectations. The five course breakfast was perfect!!  We enthusiastically recommend The Stone Hedge to all those who want "extra special treatment".
Thanks again.... (Celebrating 16 years of marriage)
James & Evelyn V., Chilliwack, BC, Canada

"Beautiful  -well done! Charming in every sense of the word! Our second stay - only wish we could have spent more time here. Overnight just wasn't enough! We will be back!
Thank you for welcoming us in, Scott & Linda F., Victoria, BC, Canada

Well, were do I begin? When I originally found the Stone Hedge on the Internet it looked like the type of place I was looking for to book our 4 night stay in the Vancouver area. After speaking to both Linda and Brian on the phone I was impressed by their inviting personalities and booked the Safari Room. Never could we have imagined what a special place we had found! Upon arriving we were warmly greeted by Brian. When he showed us our room we were pleasantly surprised that the room was even better then it has been described on the internet. The Safari room is warm, cosy and secluded, perfect for anything from a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle to a private, romantic getaway. The gas fireplace, terry towel robes, fuzzy slippers and incredibly comfortable bed are just some of the features that make this room special. Not to mention the great shower and all the other little extras you were able to surprise us with. (I strongly believe this place should be listed in the 'Best Places to Kiss' book) I haven't even started on how great the breakfast were. WOW!!!! With Linda working her magic in the kitchen and Brian being the most hospitable host we have never felt so pampered. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better Linda would create another amazing meal and Brian's attention to make sure everything was perfect and nothing was missed just completed the whole package. Our mouths would salivate the night before in anticipation for what we would have for breakfast the next morning. I have been to several B&B's over the years, and this place tops my list of favourites. The only down side to the Stone Hedge experience is that it makes going home extremely difficult! We are already trying to come up with a reason to come back soon.
Thank you Brian and Linda, Cheers, Scott and Tina T., Victoria, BC, Canada

After a year and half of personal catastrophes, we planned our first trip out of the States..  However, at the hour of excitement in planning for this trip - September 11th - a day of terrorism prevailed in our country (USA).  Of course the following weeks were filled with intrepidation, apprehension and terror.  Leaving the country seemed absurd!  Our plans were left in limbo!  Finally, two days before we were to fly to Seattle and begin our trip to Canada, I finally called The Stone Hedge B & B.  Feeling quite uncertain that we would ever arrive in Canada - Brian put my fears to rest.  I felt like we were going to visit family in a very familiar place instead of a stranger in a very unfamiliar country.  Upon arriving at The Stone Hedge, we were emotionally drained and feeling famished.  We were immediately greeted with hospitality and warmth and directed to have dinner at Pajo's.  Never had we experienced such exquisite fish and chips - - absolutely scrumptious.  In addition, the morning breakfasts were varied, colourful and more than delicious.  On October 8th, the USA bombed Afghanistan and declared war!  Our hearts sunk and terror began to permeate our bones.  Our immediate instinct was to bolt Canada and get home.  However, Linda and Brian - you both quelled our fears just by being yourselves.  Of course, being invited to your very special Holiday of Thanksgiving was certainly appropriate for we all have so much to be thankful for.  You seem more like family than even friends.  The wine was excellent, the food was exquisite and the company exuberant!  Laughed till our sides hurt and we sure needed it!  It is so exciting to know we are among your founding guests of your new B & B business and "cool" to know we have been the first to share a meal with you in your home and wonderful to meet your dear friend, Margaret.  We shall keep in touch via e-mail.  Thanks so much.  P.S. "you are both one Class Act".
Paul and Jeanene D., Denver, Colorado, USA (Celebrating 31 years of marriage 10-10-70)

In our limited experience of B & B's, we managed a 5- Star Jewel!  Not only in our beautiful surroundings, but in the warmth of hospitality, conversation and fabulous food.  Wishing you much success in your B & B endeavour!  Thanks so much.
Dawne W., Rancho Mirage, CA, USA and Keli S., Costa Mesa, CA, USA

Linda and Brian - If it hadn't been for terrorism and the following airline crisis, we never would have discovered your great B & B, nor experienced your wonderful hospitality which extended greatly to include - help, use of phones, emails etc. to try and re-organize our lives and get us home, after being forced to cancel the rest of our holiday.  The "shuttle bus" gave us a chance to relax and enjoy some great meals, but they couldn't eclipse the wonderful breakfasts.  Thank you so much for everything, Brian and Linda, we'd love to say we will be back but that is not really likely.  Only hope that if people get stranded in Australia, they'll be treated as well as the Canadians have us.  Our last breakfast "the greatest" !! Best wishes.
John and Helen T., Busselton, Western Australia

We (Ralph & Krista) think this is the best place in Canada to come and be spoiled, relax and take our minds off of everyday concerns.  This has been the find of the century.  We were overjoyed to find your bed and breakfast by accident.  Absolute paradise! I would recommend your B & B to anyone.  The food was excellent and the accommodations absolutely outstanding!  We enjoyed your generous hospitality immensely.  We almost hate to leave.
Ralph and Krista, Olympia, WA, USA

Linda and Brian: I felt I am at a great friend's house.  Thank you for your great hospitality.  What a place!  Everything in this place were filled with warm and thoughtful feelings.   The breakfasts were so great and delicious.  Thanks Linda - you are a great chef!  I'll be back!  All the best.
Master Phap Lu, 7th Dan, Vice-President Pan Am Taekwon-do Federation, ON, Canada

Your Stone Hedge was the perfect beginning to our much-anticipated 20th wedding anniversary trip.  The room is beautiful and comfortable, and abounding with little "extra touches".  It was way beyond the call of duty to shuttle us to your quaint little wharf, where we enjoyed a whole afternoon in the breezy sunshine.  But perhaps my favourite part was wandering barefoot on the wet grass through your gardens...so serene and peaceful.  Our first visit to B.C. and you made it very special.  P.S.  I spoke too soon.  The breakfast was exquisite - a lovely presentation and freshest fruits too....yum!  And we really enjoyed our conversation with you and with your guest Master Phap Lu.
Cynthia and Randy H., NE, USA

What a great first visit to B.C.!! Thank you for the warm hospitality, great food, comfy accommodations (love the Jacuzzi!) and yes, even the history lesson!!  We'll go back to our country with definite plans to return!

During the three weeks of our Canadian vacation, we have seen beautiful places and have been welcomed by very nice people, that did everything to satisfy all of our needs. But here at The Stone Hedge there is much more - in addition to the splendid swimming pool and the enchanting rooms, we have found real friends, that besides pleasing and spoiling us, they made us feel really at home. Thank you from  the bottom of our hearts. From  The Costa's family to these Fantastic Hosts.

"Well, there is nothing between the West Coast and the Rockies that compares to the ambience, facilities and warm welcome we have experienced at The Stone Hedge over the last couple of weeks. The design of the Safari House is wonderful and all your finishing touches - the garden flowers, drinks on ice, fruit, chocolates and cookies - laid out for our return at the end of each day, was such a treat. The scenery and weather on our travels in B.C. has been fabulous but staying at The Stone Hedge has really made our holiday. Many thanks and very best wishes."

We will be back and we will tell all our friends about our wonderful experience staying in the Safari House."

Thank you for your warm hospitality, the delicious breakfasts, and all the helpful sightseeing tips, which even Constantin, couldn't find in his "Lonely Planet" traveling "bible".
